Frank Skinner
Born Chris Collins in 1957, Frank Skinner's journey to millionaire entertainer
has been one of rags to riches. he was expelled from school at 16 over a money-making
school meal scam. As he admits: "All I did was find where they dumped
the old meal tickets and sold them on cheap to other kids. I'm not ashamed
of it, it seemed like an

honourable, Robin Hood kind of thing to do."
As the actors' union Equity had another Chris Collins on their books, the
fledgling comic had to choose another name. He stole the moniker Frank Skinner
from a man in his dad's pub dominoes team.
A four-year slog through the circuit, financed by a string of day jobs, led
to Skinner establishing his own club in Birmingham.

Frank
Skinner Book: "Frank Skinner"
Frank Skinner is well known for his quick wit and biting humour. Both appear
in spades in his eponymous autobiography. It is hardly a traditional, chronological
work. Instead Frank takes an offbeat approach to the life story genre. Besides
the history told comes the most interesting, insightful stuff, wrapped up
in stylish telling; reasons and justifications, irrelevant asides and rhetorical
questions, insecurities. plus a grey area where there are loads of swear words,
darker thoughts, deep hatred The Sun and of course the blackest of humour.

Skinner: "Frank Skinner - Live In Birmingham"
Uncensored and live, Frank Skinner is at his best at the Birmingham Hippodrome.
This video may be the funniest live stand up in the history of comedy anywhere.
Frank leaves no taboo untouched, covering a wide variety of sexually explicit
subjects as well as other classic shows such as bulls eye. Frank interacts
with the audience brilliantly, but if excellent crude humour isnt for you
then leave this video alone.

Frank
Skinner: "Baddiel And Skinner - Unplanned - Live From London"
a fairly straightforward stage recreation of the comedy duo's television format.
Unscripted and unrehearsed, the show relies on the improvisational skills of
the long-standing partnership, mainly responding to questions put to them from
the audience.
There is much to laugh at, particularly from Skinner, who proves that he really
is one of the best at this sort of off-the-cuff comedy.
